Kenny McGeachie
Rev Kenny McGeachie was ordained in 2009 as a Permanent Deacon for the Archdiocese of Glasgow and is now the Roman Catholic National Chaplaincy Advisor to the Scottish Prison Service (SPS). He has worked with SPS in various capacities for over 25 years, including Health Care management, secondments to develop and introduce innovative throughcare projects, and full-time Roman Catholic Prison Chaplaincy in HM Prisons Barlinnie, Low Moss and Perth. He is a parish deacon in the bustling local parish family of Sacred Heart and Saint Lucy in Cumbernauld where he lives with his family.
Sheena Orr
Rev Dr Sheena Orr is a Church of Scotland minister and Chaplaincy Advisor to the Scottish Prison Service. Her involvement with prisons and prisoners includes four years working with the Kenya Prison Service and advice on the design and set up of Faith in Throughcare, a Faith in Community Scotland initiative. Sheena took over from founder member, Rev Bill Taylor, as Chair of the Trustees in 2018. Most importantly, Sheena has just become a granny for the first time!
Marilyn Stenhouse DL. JP
Marilyn Stenhouse leads an active role in her local community and is involved in various charity committees and organisations including being a Trustee for Prisoners Week for several years. For more than twenty years Marilyn has worked on a voluntary basis in HMP Cornton Vale and she is also a Trustee of Cornton Vale and Glenochil prison visitor centres. In conjunction with this Marilyn has been committed to childrens' welfare as a member of the Children's Hearing System for over 30 years. Marilyn is a committed Christian and is an Elder with associated responsibilities and duties whilst enjoying enjoy leisure time with her 7 grandchildren.
David Strang CBE QPM
Following a police career in London and Scotland, David Strang served as Her Majesty's Chief Inspector of Prisons for Scotland, from 2013 to 2018 introducing the Independent Prison Monitoring scheme in Scotland. David was appointed a Trustee of the Prisoners Week Trust in 2018. He is a member of Mustard Seed Edinburgh, a pioneer church community based in the East of Edinburgh.
John Thomson
John Thomson has served as a Trustee since the launch of PWT in 2012. Currently John is PWT Secretary and Treasurer and is a Church of Scotland Elder. John was employed as Church of Scotland’s Chaplaincies Administrator between 1992 and 2019.
