2024 - Hear My Voice

We live our lives surrounded by the voices of those trying to get our attention, trying to get us to respond in some way, be they politicians, musicians, marketing adverts, influencers, bloggers, family, friends…and sometimes we deliberately switch off or choose our own background sounds to life. But just as a radio channel is always broadcasting whether we tune in or not, so there are the unheard voices of those who are too crushed to speak out, too wounded to even have the strength to cry out ...if only we would tune in.

This year’s Prisoner’s Week theme invites us to listen to those affected by or working in the Justice system – those in prison, their families, victims of crime, chaplains, staff and social justice organisations, and individuals who help give voice to the unheard. God hears all our cries but sometimes we need to listen more closely to find out who on earth we should be listening to.
